About the HAPAC of Florida

 

Who are we?

•We are Hindu American PAC, a  Non-Partisan Florida-based Advocacy Group. We are a dynamic organization that not only seeks to promote understanding and awareness of Hindu beliefs and values but also actively engages in political advocacy. As an influential political action committee, we are committed to amplifying the voices of the Hindu community and ensuring our perspectives are heard by both the population at large and public officials. Through educational initiatives, grassroots organizing, and strategic advocacy efforts, we strive to create a platform that advocates for Hindu rights, social justice, and religious freedom. Join us in shaping a society where Hindu principles are recognized, respected, and incorporated into the policies that govern our diverse community. Together, let us forge a path towards a more inclusive and equitable future

What does HAPAC of Florida want to do?

  • Protect and promote the religious liberty and civil rights of Hindu Americans.

  • Ensure that the religious freedom and human rights of Hindus in other parts of the world are a priority in the formulation of U.S. foreign policy on par with trade, security, and other strategic interests that are guided by education and lived experiences.

  • Promote other policies impacting the broader interests of Hindu Americans.

  • Cultivate and support the next generation of Hindu American policy makers.

  • Educate local leadership about Hinduism/Hindu values

  • Counter Hinduphobia/ address anti-hindu hate

  • Ensure security for Hindu places of worship

  • Promote of mental health through yogic methods

  • Challenge prejudice against Hinduism in academia and media

  • Recognize Hindu holidays

  • Nurture and develop political leaders from the Hindu Diaspora

  • Recognize Asian contribution in local schools

  • Candidates who are committed to one or more of the objectives of the PAC.

  • A candidate who is running against a candidate (or incumbent) whose interests run counter to the objectives of the PAC.
