Tom Good, City Commissioner - Pembroke Pines
Tom Good and his wife Patty Good shown here with Shekar Reddy our Chair. Tom Good is currently serving a term as the city commissioner for the city of pembrook pines in south florida. He gave his strong support to the Hindu American community's effort to declare and provide a resolution for Diwali and Hindu Heritage month in October 2021. He also has supported resolutions condemning hate crimes against all communities, including the Hindu American community.
Beam Furr, County Commissioner - Broward County
Beam Furr is a county commissioner for Broward. He has stood with the community on various occassions and assisted us in a resolution to declare diwali as a holiday.

State legislator was recently elected to the congressional legislator in the florida state assembly. She served as a commissioner for the city of Weston in the past and also as am educational board member. i

Padma Kuppa, D-Michigan, State representative, 41st house district
Before going into public service, Padma was a strong advocate for the Hindu American community, through her service in Hindu advocacy organizations and by representing the Hindu community in interfaith groups. Padma is a champion of diversity and inclusion, and was a pioneer in making sure the Hindu perspective in interfaith dialogue is authentically understood instead of being subsumed by the perspectives of other faiths. She has a deep understanding of the many policy issues important to the Hindu American community, including hate crimes, immigration, textbooks, and the representation of Hindus in media. She is currently in her second term of office as a State Representative in the Michigan State House.
Assemblymember Jenifer Rajkumar, D-New York's 38th State Assembly District
Jenifer Rajkumar represents the 38th New York State Assembly District. She is a civil rights lawyer, and was formerly a Professor at CUNY and a New York State Government official. She was dedicated to representing all New Yorkers as a Special Counsel and as Director of Immigration Affairs for New York State under Governor Andrew Cuomo, and then came back home to Queens to represent the diverse community there as a State Assembly member. She is the first Hindu legislator in the New York State Assembly.
Jeff Rosen, D-Santa Clara County District Attorney
Jeff is running for re-election for Santa Clara County District Attorney. Jeff has stood with the community on Hinduphobia, hate crimes, discrimination, and the plight of Hindu minorities. He understands subtle forms of Hinduphobia and discrimination as well based on dealing with anti-Semitism, Islamophobia, anti-Asian hate, and racism, and how an inaccurate and negative portrayal of the community leads to hate & discrimination. He is a seasoned District Attorney who thinks through common sense solutions to problems facing the local community, criminal justice reform, and crime. He fights for crime victims and to keep our community safe. He has a staff representing the diversity of the county and has strong connections with the local Hindu and Indian American community.
Teddy Kapur, D-Los Angeles City Attorney
Teddy is running for Los Angeles City Attorney. Teddy’s grandparents were among the millions of Hindus displaced during the partition of India into two countries. He is engaged in his local community and understands the issues important to the Hindu American community. Teddy opposes efforts to include caste in anti-discrimination policies because it will single out South Asians. Teddy has supported efforts to fight extremism and discrimination, including Hinduphobia, anti-Semitism, Islamophobia, and anti-Asian hate. Teddy is an accomplished business lawyer, teacher and community leader. He has years of experience helping families exit homelessness and will deliver urgent and scalable solutions to that crisis.
